The method is used for targeted detection of the so-called evaporation front (the boundary between wet and dry environments). Currently, it is being used primarily based on visualization with colorants. A new method will be presented for humidity measurement in porous materials, e.g. sandstones.

Proteins are essential components of live systems and they are vital for all functions of any cell. They form a significant part of the live matter structure and they represent a vast majority of catalysis in biochemical reactions. Therefore research efforts in biology, medicine, biotechnologies and related fields focus on investigation of properties of various proteins. Many of those proteins are produced in industrial quantities for their utilization in medicine and biotechnology (e.g. insulin); a new method will be presented with many advantages in this field of study.

This seismic sensor measuring seismic rotations and translations is able to measure not only the intensity of an earthquake but it can also identify the bedrock geological structure. The first results to be presented come from Litoměřice where the project called RINGEN has been under way investigating potential utilization of geothermal energy in the Czech Republic.

Antibiotic resistance has been increasing every year. It poses a worldwide threat that has claimed tens of thousands of lives. A newly developed diagnostic kit will be presented that can quickly detect antibiotic resistance.

Headset (EPort 4) to measure visually evoked potentials – device demonstration

EPort 4 uses 4 channels for registration of electroencephalographic activities (EEG) jointly with visual stimulation through light emitting diodes LED) and it has been designed for registration of visually evoked potentials (VEP). EPort 4 also records and evaluates head movements and intensity of the ambient lighting.

The objective of the project is to transform the second part of the teaching simulation Czechoslovakia 38-89 about the post-war situation in central Europe into a computer game suitable for commercial sale. The computer game should use the previously developed position on the computer game market thanks to the successful internationally appreciated part one (Attentat 1942). The game will be also available in English.
